Alternative return by bus


Starting this day from the bus station of Lloret de Mar from where one jumps on the local bus towards Tossa de Mar going north. After about 4 km ask the bus driver for the Cala Canyelles bus stop. From the bus stop there is a quit steep walk down to the Canyelles cove which is rounded by cliffs full of pine trees with a white sandy beach divided in two by a large rocks.

From Cala Canyelles to Cala Santa Cristina there is approximately 11 km and almost always by the sea the path of the round will allow us to discover unforgettable views from the cliffs of the route. Taking off from the cove one follows the path towards Lloret firstly walking through the Cala Canyelles development the Crossing the Golf field before arrive to the Llevantina’s neighborhood. Following the Ave. del Sol Eixent and close to l’Aigua d’en Clos one takes the GR-92 and the path continues ups and down towards the Tortuga cove which has a nice grey rolling Stone beach. From here one goes up through a tunnel before reaching a little circus from where the path continues towards the Trons Cove.

Pay attention to GR-92 marks because they will guide you through Ave. de Llevant and later Ave. de la Torutuga before reaching the Montgoda neighborhood. From here use the grand staircase towards the Trons cove.

Follow the costal path firstly towards the Roca des Frares Cove (a beautiful cove with rolling stones, rocks and crystalline water which it’s perfect for snorkeling, fishing and for its hidden nooks the naturism lovers will found the wished privacy there) and later just at the entrance to the Lloret village, the Sa Caleta cove which is a typical little cove with “llaguts” (typical Catalan sailors boat) and furthermore the charismatic d’En Platja Castle a 1935 building which  reminds a medieval castle.

Arrived in Lloret just follow the beautiful maritime promenade following the beach as far as until the Garbí Point from which point one will continue to Sa Caravera Beach in other words going south. Go up the stairs that go round the statue of Fisherman’s wife and from the hill one will be able to make out Banys Cove a rocky cove with reefs. Then take the stairs down to this cove until one take the path across the bar/restaurant direction a pine grove on the way to Fenals Point where one will find St. Joan Castle. To reach Fenals beach one will have to pass through a path to take the stairs down the promenade of Fenals.

Leave the coastal footpath and follow the signs to the Santa Clotilde gardens which date back to the nineteenth-century a must-see if one want to experience some of the best in landscape architecture. Taking the road one come to the beaches at Sa Boadella, Santa Cristina cove. At Santa Cristina beach one can visit the hermitage dedicated to the patron saint of Lloret.

To get back to Blanes or Lloret one can a) walk up to the main road and catch the local bus or b) walk along the same road.
